Louise Radinger

I make films and write about film.

My current interests centre around film practice, architecture on film and the means by which expressive space is configured in film and television.

In 2021 I completed a practice-led PhD at the University of Reading. I engaged with the creative practice of videographic essay-making as part of my investigation.

My book 'Women and Home in Cinema: Form, Feeling, Practice' will be published by Palgrave as part of their 'Close Readings in Film and Television' series in March 2024.

I continue to make video essays as part of my creative and academic practice.

I have made several short films, two of which have won awards. I have also curated film festivals.

Alongside my work in film I have performed and directed in theatre, with a particular interest in telling stories through shadow theatre, puppetry and opera.

I have a BA in Drama from the University of Manchester and an MA in Film from the University of Westminster.
