Shadows and Puppets
I formed hit gelamp in 2010 to devise and perform contemporary shadow theatre. Our first show, Madeleine on Tiptoe premiered at the Holloway Arts Festival and went on to be performed in the Old Vic Tunnels, St Mary's Islington, Christ Church Highbury and at the Pleasance Theatre as part of the Little Angel's SUSPENSE festival of adult puppetry in 2011.
A 'scratch' performance of May 1940 developed with 2nd year students at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as part of INCUBATE, was presented at the Boiler Room in the Pleasance Theatre as part of the Little Angel Theatre's festival for adult puppetry, SUSPENSE 2015. It was inspired by the life and work of Leonora Carrington.
A Tale from the Stars, a shadow theatre show inspired by the tales of Ovid was commissioned by the Concordia Foundation and performed to an audience of East End primary schools at Toynbee Hall on February 24, 2015.
